We’ve postponed the recording of our fifth album, to give it more time to develop. Road testing the songs seems like a good way to let them breathe. We’ll be coming to a noise hole near you to thrash them out from the end of the month. More dates TBA… DL x

Whilst listening through our live shows recorded over the last few years, in hope of stumbling across some highlights to put online, one particular gig stood out. We couldn’t stop listening, and realised that this particular one track, lo-fi recording made at a small and unique festival in France represented all of the hard work we’d put into the band since 2010.
We’ll be releasing ‘Vile Imbeciles – Live @ L’Abeille Beugle‘ on Thursday 22nd August
In regard to buying this album, please name your price. We give these 15 tracks to you free of charge or at the cost that you believe this hour long performance is worth to you.
Currently we’re looking at funding the recording/production/mastering, physical pressing, video production and press for our 5th album (on track for Spring release) nearly entirely out of our own pockets. All donations gratefully received, it would be wonderful if we could press this one onto vinyl..
We love the processes of creation and performance, and shall remain headstrong and tenacious despite our financial limitations. Thank you to all of our loyal followers for their continued patience and contributions.
Andy, Deen and Evan
Spring is here at last, and with it comes the creation of exciting new material. Having already recorded the first half of the new album, we’re continuing to work hard to bring the next full length Vile Imbeciles release into the world this Autumn. Watch this space. DL x
It’s my duty to inform you that early last month our friend Mr Caspian Rospigliosi announced that he would be leaving the band. Having played in Vile Imbeciles for over 5 years, Caz’s energetic and honest stage performances wowed audiences.
Andy, Evan and I continue to write material for the next album. Vile Imbeciles are a three piece once more. DL x
Following encouraging performances earlier this year, Vile Imbeciles will continue as a 4 piece band and will be taking their new sound to France, to play at L’Abeille Beugle and Glazart in early August. We’ll be headlining a free show with Clowns and Restlesslist at The Green Door Store in Brighton very soon, where you can catch us playing newly arranged versions of songs from Queenie Was a Blonde and D is for W. Vile Imbeciles will be playing their first shows of 2012 very soon. For all four of these appearances we shall be joined by our friends Clowns. DL x

Early last month Liam expressed to us that he would be leaving the band. The last two years would just not have been the same without his contributions. We all wish him the best for his future endeavours. You can now catch him playing with Bad for Lazarus. DL x
We’re pleased to announce that the official Vile Imbeciles website is now online. Have a snoot around and give us a ‘like’! A massive thank you goes out to our friend Jill Strong for its creation. The focus in vile camp has now shifted to working towards our next studio album, writing sessions have already begun. Expect to hear us playing more material from Ma and Queenie if you can catch us live before the summer. DL x
